Dial Description

The 18K gold dial is inspired by ancient Egypt during the Pharaonic period and features the watchmaking techniques of the master artist M é tiers d’Art. The inlaid pattern is crafted using precision carving techniques and hand aged, carved from Sinai limestone sandstone, depicting a bust of Akhenaten. The other side of the same sandstone is engraved with a pharaoh inscription, inspired by a wall relief in the Karnak Temple. The inspiration for the outer ring relief comes from Nahet’s necklace, which is decorated on a turquoise ring using copper plate carving technology. The inner ring relief is made using stone filling technology, and the parts are embedded in a pattern composed of finely carved gold silk threads.
